Tom Minturn grew up in the mountains of West Virginia the son of a pastor. In 1989 he attended Appalacian Bible College in Beckly, WV, majoring in Elementary Education. After teaching and coaching basketball for two years, Tom moved to Lynchburg, VA to attend seminary and work for Jerry Falwell, founder of Liberty University. There, he received his Masters of Arts and Religion/Counseling, and Masters in Religious Education, focus in youth. Upon graduation, Tom began his career with the Lynchburg Chick-fil-A, his first position as an assistant manager, in his third year advancing to general manager. Tom was then selected to work for corporate Chick-fil-A, first in Grand Junction, CO, and then Cleveland, OH. After two years of corporate work, Tom was selected as owner of a Chick-fil-A in Columbus, OH, where he stayed for five years and met his wife Jen. In November 2011, Tom was given the opportunity to move back home as owner of Southridge Chick-fil-A in Charleston, WV.
